Cat’s claw, or una de gato (Uncaria tomentosa and Uncaria guianensis) is a popular herbal supplement derived from a tropical vine which can grow up to 30 meters tall. The cat's claw plant gets its name from its hooked thorns, which resemble the claws of a cat. This powerful medicinal herb has been used for more than 2000 years by the Amazon Indigenous tribes.
It is found primarily in the Amazon rainforest and other tropical areas of Central and South America.
Cats claw root and bark have been used for centuries in South America to help with inflammation, boost the immune system, as a natural remedy for high blood pressure, and as a diuretic.
Cats claw active constituents are: Triterpenes, glycosides, proanthocyanidins, polyphenols, oxindole alkaloids, stigmasterol, beta-sitosterol and campesterol.
The vine also possesses strong antioxidant properties, helping the body eliminate particles known as free radicals that damage cells.
HOW TO MAKE CAT'S CLAW TEA:
Simply make a tea using one tablespoon of the cat's claw powder in 1L of water, with a few drops of lemon juice or vinegar.
Simmer for 10-20 min, and filter thru a coffee filter.
Take one cup of the tea every 8 hours.
HOW TO MAKE CAT'S CLAW TINCTURE:
Find a good glass jar with lid and fill it half way with cat's claw powder.
Add vodka, everclear or any other high proof grain alcohol until the liquid level is at least 5cm (2") above the powdered cat's claw.
Add a few drops of white distilled vinegar.
Seal jar properly and shake two times per day during one month.
When ready, filter out the alcohol with a coffee filter.
The cat's claw tincture can now be used as is, or can be left to evaporate in a windy place for a while to achieve a higher concentration (be careful with flames around alcohol).
If you leave it to evaporate completely you will get a beautiful and potent dark resin of cat's claw extract.

Shipment confirmation and order tracking
After your payment is confirmed we will process your order in 24-48 hours. As soon as we mark your order as shipped you will receive an email with the tracking number.
Customs, duties, and taxes
Depending on the country you are, it is possible that you have to pay import duties to your countries customs (specially for large orders). Please refer to your local authorities to learn how those fees are calculated and take that into account when making an order.
The Tropical Link ships orders "Duties Delivered Unpaid (DDU)"
The customer is liable for all import duties, customs and taxes levied. Payment of those fees may be required to release your order from customs on arrival.
Damages
If you received your order damaged, please save all packaging material and damaged goods and email us photos of everything along with your order number to info@thetropicallink.com. The Tropical Link is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping, but in most cases we will take the responsibility so you won’t be at a loss. We may ask you to file a complaint with the carrier company.
Returns policy
You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging, and you need to have the receipt or proof of purchase. To initiate a return please e-mail us at info@thetropicallink.com
We will try to find a partner near to you so you can return the item to them, but you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable.
If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
