Catuaba is a legendary Brazilian aphrodisiac plant that has been used by the Tupi Indians in the amazon rainforest for centuries.
Aside from a powerful aphrodisiac, it is also used in Brazilian folk medicine as a tonic for the central nervous system, cardiovascular system, to improve memory and energy and to reduce anxiety and fatigue.
Catuaba is commonly associated with Muira Puama for maximum aphrodisiac effects.
Catuaba bark is also the main ingredient in the famous Brazilian drink "Catuaba selvagem".
Catuaba bark is derived from the trees of the Brazilian rainforest. Among the trees used for catuaba are Trichilia catigua, Anemopaegma mirandum, Erythroxylum vacciniifolium, and Micropholis caudata, being the first three the strongest of them.
The chemical constituents found in catuaba include alkaloids Catuabine A, B and C, tannins, aromatic oils and fatty resins, phytosterols, cyclolignans, sequiterpenes, and flavonoids.
Catuaba is known for its antioxidant effects and its ability to increase dopamine levels in the brain.
HOW TO MAKE CATUABA DRINK:
Add 50g (4 tablespoons) of catuaba bark powder in 1L of water.
Add a few drops of distilled white vinegar.
Bring to a boil with slow heat and leave simmering for 20~30min.
Turn off the heat and leave it for 10 min so the powder can settle.
Carefully pour the liquid thru a coffee filter. Try to leave the powder behind as it will clog the coffee filter.
Transfer your catuaba drink to a bottle and store in the refrigerator.
Take one small cup per day in the morning. The entire bottle of catuaba drink should last for one week.
The catuaba drink will take approximately one week to make effect. If needed make another tea and take it for another week, but do not use it more than two weeks straight. Most people will be more than happy with only one bottle of this recipe :)
HOW TO MAKE CATUABA TINCTURE:
Find a good glass jar with lid and fill it half way with the catuaba bark powder.Add vodka, everclear or any other high proof grain alcohol until the liquid level is at least 5cm (2") above the powdered catuaba.
Add a few drops of white distilled vinegar.
Seal jar properly and shake two times per day during one month.
When ready, filter out the alcohol with a coffee filter.
The catuaba tincture can now be used as is, or can be left to evaporate in a windy place for a while to achieve a higher concentration (be careful with flames around alcohol).
If you leave it to evaporate completely you will get a beautiful and potent dark reddish resin of catuaba extract.

Shipment confirmation and order tracking

Customs, duties, and taxes
Depending on the country you are, it is possible that you have to pay import duties to your countries customs (specially for large orders). Please refer to your local authorities to learn how those fees are calculated and take that into account when making an order.
The Tropical Link ships orders "Duties Delivered Unpaid (DDU)"
The customer is liable for all import duties, customs and taxes levied. Payment of those fees may be required to release your order from customs on arrival.
Damages
If you received your order damaged, please save all packaging material and damaged goods and email us photos of everything along with your order number to info@thetropicallink.com. The Tropical Link is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping, but in most cases we will take the responsibility so you won’t be at a loss. We may ask you to file a complaint with the carrier company.
Returns policy
You have 30 calendar days to return an item from the date you received it.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. Your item must be in the original packaging, and you need to have the receipt or proof of purchase. To initiate a return please e-mail us at info@thetropicallink.com
We will try to find a partner near to you so you can return the item to them, but you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are nonrefundable.
If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
